Doncaster Volunteer Bank are here to support voluntary organisations match volunteers to the opportunities that they have and require support with.
Doncaster Volunteer Bank are on a mission to recruit a broad range of volunteers with varied skills, that can be matched with opportunities across the city. We will explore various routes to volunteering, from residents who have spare time or are interested in giving back to the community, working with businesses to utilise their contribution through corporate responsibility, working with Department of Work and Pensions to offer volunteering opportunities to people who are unemployed and hoping to gain work experience, youth volunteering to enable young people who may be studying to complete achievements such as the Duke of Edinburgh award.
This means that we can support VCFS organisations to build capacity and resource to ensure they can facilitate their group to the community and have a well-trained and competent workforce.
If an organisation would like to add their vacancy to Doncaster Volunteer Bank, they will need to confirm that they have a:
- Health and Safety policy
- EDI policy
- Safeguarding policy
- Public Liability Insurance (with a minimum coverage of £5m)

We appreciate those that sign up to volunteering and want to indicate both ours and your commitment to do the best that we can to make their volunteer experience a positive and rewarding one so as part of the sign up process, we also ask you to complete a client agreement which details the expectations between Doncaster Volunteer Bank and our member organisations. Find it here on the registration form.
Once your organisation is onboard, we will be able to advertise your volunteer opportunity as a mission for our volunteers to take on. We ask that you assign a point of contact for volunteers to get in touch with you once they sign up to support you. And as volunteers apply for your mission, we will keep you updated weekly about who hopes to help. You can find the mission template to advertise your volunteer opportunities here.

Once matched it is the responsibility of the organisation to ensure that the volunteer is suitably supported, that their volunteer hours are not excessive and that they look after their health and wellbeing. Check out the volunteer handbook to see a copy of the volunteer agreement and other information that volunteers are provided with when signing up to volunteer with Doncaster Volunteer Bank.
