b:friend is a charity working across the city of Doncaster to reduce loneliness and social isolation experienced by older people. They do this through 1:1 befriending and weekly social club activity.

Doncaster Culture & Leisure Trust (DCLT) is a registered charity delivering premier leisure provision across 15 venues in Doncaster. DCLT offers a diverse range of health, fitness, leisure and entertainment activities for everyone, with venues spread across Doncaster.

Danum Gallery, Library and Museum combines Doncaster's Central Library, Children's Library, Art Gallery and 3 museums under one roof! We offer library and printing services, have public computers, free access to the museums and gallery, are cultivating our community garden and host a huge range of classes, groups, events and learning opportunities.

Helping Hands Community Centre is a Charity in the heart of Edlington, our aim is to empower the community; to support the community. They offer a wide range of support, activities and volunteer opportunities.

MHA Communities

MHA Communties run lunch clubs and activities for older adults across south Yorkshire. Specifically in Doncaster they run Cantley meet and eat lunch club and in Tickhill we run Tickhill pop-in lunch club.

Phab Doncaster

Phab Doncaster are community group in Doncaster who support and bring together people with or without disabilities connecting them within our community. They primarily specialise in supporting profoundly disabled individuals and severely learning disabled individuals, those also with complex medical needs, challenging behaviours and those of end of life care plans. 

 

 

 

Right Up Our Street

Right Up Our Street is a community-led Creative People and Places arts programme funded by Arts Council England. It brings brilliant art activities and events to the people of Doncaster. It works in partnership with Doncaster’s communities, listening to what they need and want, and co-creating an arts programme that is relevant and meaningful.

Sew Mindful Crafts

Sew Mindful Crafts is a community hub providing a range of activities and services including sewing, crafting, along with educational and specialist workshops for all ages, promoting good mental health & well-being and reducing social isolation. They provide  a specialist workshop area and equipment along with tutors & volunteers giving people opportunities to try new skills and build confidence.

The Reader

The Reader is developing Shared Reading groups in Doncaster, bringing adults together to read and listen to great stories and poems and talk about them. They use these stories and poems to help people connect and share experiences.

YWCA Yorkshire

YWCA Yorkshire Green Gables in Mexborough has been supporting young women, children and families to thrive since 2004. In partnership with Together Housing, the Green Gables team have a remit to provide safe accommodation and wrap-around support in five houses and eight self-contained apartments, as well as vital support to more families in the community.
