The Social Isolation Alliance and its member organisations are not a crisis service. 

Do you require mental health support?

If you require support during office hours, contact:

  • Your GP
  • The Mental Health Access Team/Single Point of Contact on 01302 566 999.

       One of their trained call handlers will signpost you to the most appropriate service depending on your level of need.

       This may include your out of hours GP, a voluntary organisation or their Access/Crisis Team.

For out of hours support, contact:

  • The local Access/Crisis Team on 0800 804 8999.
  • The NHS on 111 and a trained professional will be able to advise you of available services.  

Are you or someone you know dealing with an emergency situation?

Seek immediate professional help by calling 999 or going to your nearest A&E department. 

Do you need housing/homeless support?

If you require support during office hours, contact:

  • St Leger Homes of Doncaster on 01302 736 000 (Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 16:30).

Outside of office hours, contact:

  • St Leger Homes of Doncaster on 01302 323 444 (Monday - Friday after 17:00 and all day Saturday and Sunday).    

Do you need support to access a food bank?

For food and fuel vouchers, contact Citizens Advice Doncaster on 01302 243057 (Monday - Friday 9:00 - 16:00).

IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF AN EMERGENCY FOOD PARCEL: You will need to get a voucher code first, Available from the following agencies:

1. One Stop Shop, Doncaster Council, Civic Office, Waterdale
Attend in person only. Please take with you, your ID (preferably photo ID) and formal evidence of your crisis (debt letters, DWP correspondence, a bank statement, etc). 
2. Citizens Advice Adviceline: 0808 278 7955
The referral agency will make an assessment of your circumstances to determine your need for an emergency food parcel.

3. Help Through Hardship Helpline: 0808 208 2138 Lines are open Mon-Fri 9am - 5pm (Closed Bank Holidays)

The Help through Hardship helpline is a free phone service delivered in partnership with Citizens Advice. Friendly advisers have already helped thousands of people who are worried about money and are here to help you access the support you need. They’ll ask about your circumstances so they can understand your situation and support your wellbeing. They can help you get the support you need if you’re struggling to afford essentials like food, heating and toiletries.

Crisis Text Line

Anyone in the area experiencing anxiety, stress, loneliness, depression, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, or other mental health challenges can use the service by texting the word ‘EYUP’ to 85258 at any time of day or night. 

To start a conversation: 

  • Text the word ‘EYUP’ to 85258 
  • You’ll receive four automated messages before being connected to one of Shout’s qualified mental health professionals  
  • Once connected, the mental health professional will listen empathetically, provide support and signpost to local services where appropriate
